Tanya Bulette, Ed.D., serves as the Coordinator for PK-12 School Counseling Services at the San Diego County Office of Education, where she supports and advocates for school counselors across 42 districts. In this role for the past seven years, Tanya has led countywide initiatives to strengthen equity and access, including the Equitable Transcript Evaluators (EQT) Network, the San Diego County California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) Leadership Network, and the launch of the San Diego County School Counselor of the Year awards. Before joining SDCOE, Tanya spent two decades as a high school counselor in the Grossmont Union High School District, serving at both the site and district levels. She was honored with the Frank Jonasson Award from San Diego State University for her leadership in advancing a districtwide graduation requirement ensuring every senior graduates with a postsecondary plan. Tanya recently earned her doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California and continues to champion data-informed, student-centered practices that elevate the role of school counselors in creating equitable outcomes for all students.
