About me
Ms. Alisha Rodriguez is a highly motivated school counselor and 504 Site Coordinator with over six years of experience in education. As a dedicated student advocate and lifelong learner, she is committed to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and personal growth of all students. Alisha strives to be a multiculturally competent counselor who recognizes and honors the diverse identities, experiences, strengths, and needs of the students and families she serves.
In 2019, Alisha earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2024, she earned a Master of Education in School Counseling, along with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, from the University of Southern California, graduating in the top 10 percent of her cohort. Following graduation, Alisha began her professional school counseling career at Scholarship Prep Charter School, where she has served as a school counselor since 2024.
In her role, Ms. Rodriguez works collaboratively with students, families, educators, school leadership, and community stakeholders to cultivate safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. Her responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling services, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional development, facilitating academic planning and college and career readiness, coordinating Section 504 services, and advocating for equitable access to educational opportunities and resources.
Alisha is particularly passionate about creating meaningful connections with students and empowering them to recognize their strengths, build self-advocacy skills, and take an active role in their educational journey. She believes that when students feel seen, heard, valued, and connected, they are better positioned to thrive academically and personally.
Her mission is to ensure that every student has access to the guidance, support, resources, and opportunities necessary to reach their full potential. Through collaboration, advocacy, and relationship-building, Alisha remains committed to fostering a school community where students feel empowered, families feel supported, and educators have the tools to meet the diverse needs of their students.
Alisha looks forward to continuing to partner with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders to promote student success, well-being, belonging, and college and career readiness.
